I've got the Fever...

I worked from home all this week. And while I love every minute of working in my sweatpants and being able to throw in a load of laundry or two, I've got a little bit of cabin fever. It doesn't help that my car is in the shop and it's a gross and gloomy day out.

To cheer myself up, lets spend a few moments checking out the purchases I made yesterday from J.Crew and Nine West. I'm still in the process of developing my casual-chic style, but I think these babies will help!

I can barely wait to wear my new Maritime blazer with the Honey Tangerine Chino Shorts... so summery and nautical. I may even throw on my Sperry Topsiders to complete my yacht-ready ensemble! I don't have a yacht, nor have I ever even been near one, but I like to believe that seafaring is in the soul.

Either way, I'm on a new stuff high and can't wait until the UPS man knocks at my door (even though I most likely will hide until he pulls away. I still don't open the door for strangers.) That's when my favorite part of the shopping experience happens, where the real magic is made... I bring my new purchases into my room where I mix them in with my current wardrobe, developing new looks and twirling to and fro in the mirror for about an hour.
