The Nursery Reveal

I'm feeling under the weather today, so any projects greater than taking care of Little Man, whilst trying not to breathe on him, are not in the cards today. Well, I did Lysol every door handle, light switch and counter top, so I guess that's something...

Luckily, I never posted the final reveal of Little Man's nursery. I am so happy with how it turned out.  In fact, it is my very favorite room in our teeny tiny house.

The Pottery Barn glider and ottoman that I was waiting for in Nursery Makeover Pt. 1, is neatly tucked into the corner, adorned with Brown Bear, my sweet childhood bear made by my grandmother.

The ikat curtains really added the perfect final touch. I saved myself a small fortune by sewing them myself. Below is a photo before the addition of curtains. Isn't it amazing what a little pattern and texture can do?

The snuggly soft shag carpet from Pottery Barn is probably my favorite accessory. It's lovely on the toes and adds another glorious layer of texture. How I long for the green outside...

The last piece of the puzzle was the gallery wall that I hung just a few week's before our little guy's arrival. I love the mix of frames, photos and artwork.

This perfect little baby nest has inspired me to make over the other rooms in my home. Why not love each and every room just the same? It's a slow-moving process that will be completed as time and money permit, but I'm excited at the prospect of having an entire home that I love as much as this nursery.

  1. Love the nursery! What is the name of the fabric you used for the curtains and where did you find it?? Great job!
